cell phone question

On behalf of a friend I met yesterday, I am wondering if anyone knows of a phone which has a display and keypad large enough for someone with low vision to see. This would enable them to add contacts independently, among other things. Since an injury a while back, it's been their goal to have something of this nature on hand.
The carrier does not matter. at this point, they are using A.T&T, but they are open to other suggestions. The extra bells and whistles on cell phones these days are not necessary; this phone would just be for emergencies while they are out and about or at home and unable to reach the landline. Thanks in advance:

I'm not sure if they even make this phone anymore, but the only one that comes to mind is the Samsung Haven.

I don't know about large screens, but some of the older models of LG phones have some talking features out of the box. I specify older models simply because you seem to indicate your friend doesn't want all the bells and whistles, and I am also this way. I have an LG5400 but don't know if you can still get this model.

This is really a tough one, because carriers do not carry the so-called "dumb phones" very often anymore. If there is one on the market out there, it just needs to be GSM capable and work on the AT&T network.

Shop EBay. Take the suggested models here and search for them.
